Initial production and fruit quality of scion-rootstock combinations in orange trees in Amazonas

Abstract The cultivation of orange trees in Amazonas, Brazil relies predominantly on grafted plants combining ‘Pera’ scion and ‘Rangpur’ lime rootstock. Alternative rootstocks better adapted to the conditions region have not been investigated. Therefore, objective this research was test seven for production high-quality oranges under typical Amazon. Citrus evaluated from May August between 2017 2019, based variables cumulative yield, yield efficiency, crop-yield index over study period. fruit physicochemical quality by quantification total soluble solids, titratable acidity, ratio, juice percentage, technological index. ‘Indio,’ ‘BRS Bravo’, ‘Riverside’ genotypes combined with ‘Pera’/CNPMF had highest good quality. They are potentially most suitable combinations grow sweet
